You know what? I think I figured out why RARITY wanted to marry Blueblood. She wanted to be related to Celestia, and become an Alicorn herself, and become a vain alicorn with BRILLIANTLY shimmering Pearly White Wings, so that ALL of Equestria would've admired her for her beauty, and so that she can be rid of her bumpkin past, even when she's related to her Uncouth Bumpkin parents, who would look like they'd get along PERFECTLY with Applejack!
